Derek Lewis
Chair

Derek is president of the Derek Lewis Foundation, a private family foundation that works to improve health equity in Arkansas. He is also the founder and president of DL2 Consulting, a boutique health care consulting firm that provides performance-improvement solutions to clients in the health care sector.

Kara Wilkins
Project Director

Kara is the owner and principal consultant at KWilkins Consulting Group LLC. She has over a decade of experience working with diverse communities to create innovative solutions to improve health and human equity. In her spare time, Kara co-hosts the nationally recognized Blackbelt Voices podcast.

Adena J. White
Communications Strategist

Adena J. White is an accredited public relations professional and social-impact storyteller working at the intersection of race and place. She founded Blackbelt Media in 2017 to tell the stories of changemakers working to make the South a better place for all. Blackbelt Media produces the Blackbelt Voices podcast, which tells stories from and about Black folks down South that honor Black history, celebrate Black Southern culture, and shape the future of the region.

Jada Hunter
Digital Marketing Specialist

Jada Hunter helps business owners, entrepreneurs, & side-hustlers level up their brand, website, & social media presence. Jada is a true lover of all things digital. As such, in 2020 she founded The Roots Agency. The Roots Agency is a full-service digital creative agency passionate about connecting the dots between creativity, marketing, & content creation so you are always telling your brand's best story.
