Dr. Calvin Jerome McFadden, Sr. is a native of Tampa, Florida. He is an honors graduate of Bethune-Cookman College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. He attended the Interdenominational Theological Center and earned a Master of Divinity degree in Sociology of Religion. He also graduated from Florida State University’s College of Human Sciences and was conferred the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Family and Child Sciences.

President McFadden has also enjoyed a fruitful career in education. He has served on the faculty and in administrative roles at Florida A & M University, Florida State University, American International College, Springfield College, Bristol Community College, Smith College, Norwalk Community College, and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Charter School of Excellence. He and his wife are Owners of Huntington Learning Center-Clear Lake in Houston, TX.

 

President McFadden is a Rotarian, a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and Sigma Pi Phi Boule. While in Springfield, MA, Dr. McFadden was elected in a historic election to a citywide seat on the Springfield School Committee for a four-year term. He represented 26,000 students and their parents in the Springfield Public Schools.

President McFadden is married to his college sweetheart, Jamina, They are the proud parents of Catherine Yolanda, and Calvin Jerome, II.
